Eh, brutalist architecture never did much for me.

Doesn’t Piano not subscribe to a defined style?
Malta, EU HQ should be moved there, easier access to money laundering, who wants to be bored in Brussels all day.

He doesn’t prescribe to any particular style here, but that’s not brutalism in any way, shape, or form.

Yep, I didn’t say it was either :)
I’m not a fan of big 70s concrete blocks, myself. Too bleak of a style to me, too much in the vein of the 1984/Clockwork Orange Britain vibe of the time.

I love brutalism, but I completely understand its flaws.

It’s just personal preference - it is aptly named I guess, I find it to be a little too harsh.
I’ll admit I don’t mind some fascist architecture though, which I guess is no more pleasant.
